We are a parent run organization whose focus is to provide meaningful activities for special needs individuals over the age of 16. We have been a non profit organization since 1992. M.A.I.L. members are residents of Peel Region who are intellectually challenged. We are governed by a Board of Directors consisting of 9 volunteer members. Our growing membership consists of over 40 families.
We provide an opportunity for these very special members of society to learn from our professional staff how to interact with each other and the community while having a great time! Our programs facilitate life-skills training, meal preparation, recreation, arts and crafts and socializing.
Currently, our programs during the fall, winter and spring occur in classrooms of local schools. We are very proud of our programming as it brings much needed activity into the lives of our very special membership giving a sense of belonging and practical education.
